My experience was so unpleasant that I flew the coop. Going on 4 weeks of being sick, having been to the ER and felt ill just breathing the air at home, I booked a ticket for somewhere warm for some added recovery. It’s an all inclusive space; I might rest, walk about, enjoy the scenery, and pop in for food as appropriate.
Tonight there was a buffet, of which the stars were a veggie with cheese, sauced chicken, and a chilled red wine (with some credit to Joel, my server; you have something kind about you, and that is a welcome thing). I tried most everything available (with some longing looks at the creamed spinach soup; though the weather is warm and I am full). Special mention for a mustard potato, which for whichever reason, makes me think of LOTR and hobbits (I think I saw a mustard potato in one of the themed cookbooks? An internet video? Maybe even when I visited the Shire?). Someone decided to get oddly close behind me during dinner, and from there things were generally less enjoyable.
It’s movie night here, and post buffet I joined a small group to watch The Rock and Reynolds perform some daring feats with popcorn. I have seen some strange animal leap the wall near the theatre, and will likely spend some time googling and guessing. I look forward to a few days of sleep, wandering about and exploring, and trying foods that are perhaps outside the norm. Have you all caught up on the latest Bridgerton? Looking forward to the next drop later this month. <3 Also very much enjoying Nobody Wants This (The title is one thing; the show is great).
Cheers from a warm seaside.
